Professional Development – This would include offering various needed training for faculty, staff, students, and the community related to peace/conflict topics to help build capacity

Student Programming – This may include:
● Student speaker bureau
● Training/facilitating student programs – for students, by students
● Job, internship and volunteer fairs for students
● Fellowships and scholarships
● Volunteer opportunities

Information Sharing and Resources – This includes the web site development, networking through meetings, sharing on-line resources, and more.

Capacity Building – This includes the development of mediation programs as part of student life and/or human resources methods, sustained dialogue network, policy creation and implementation, study away development. Note: Bowling Green State University, Ohio University,Cuyahoga Community College, Wilmington College, and Alamo Colleges (Texas), are interested in setting up a short term study away in June of 2020 in S. Korea in collaboration with the Northeast Asian Regional Peacebuilding Institute.

Community Outreach – Identifying stakeholders across the state of Ohio who can participate and benefit from the Network from both inside and outside the higher education sector. These stakeholders will come from the nonprofit, local, state and/or federal government, student-led organizations, and faculty members across colleges and universities that are undertaking research in a field related to peace and conflict studies that have not been engaged previously.

Speakers Bureau – Leverage the expertise we have at the various colleges and universities, listing what each faculty, staff and student might be able to present. We would have a roster of speakers that people within and outside of the state of Ohio could access on a wide variety of expertise as they build their programs.

Scholarships – Explore and share what scholarships and funds are available to support students in studying peace and conflict studies and perhaps to develop our own scholarship as we did with the International Conference on Conflict Resolution through which we awarded our first 1,000 USD scholarship this year to a first year college student studying at DePauw University.

Research Sharing/Collaboration – Consider submitting joint proposals on peace and conflict resolution as well as collaborating on projects, sharing the research and outcomes as it relates to programs and more.
