The Ohio Peace and Conflict Studies Fund, housed at the Hudson Community Foundation, was developed to support education related endeavors which promote the application of constructive, nonviolent forums, processes, and techniques for resolving local to global issues in Ohio. This includes supporting student scholarships, student participation in related conferences, research, international study opportunities, and/or internships.
As of 2025, Ohio has 19 colleges and universities with peace and conflict studies related programs. Ohio has also been in the top ten states in the United States, over the last decade, for refugee resettlement. Refugees have been forced to leave their country due to conflict, persecution, or human-made or natural disasters. Since the scholarship began, we have been able to provide support to students from John Carroll University, Kent State University, Ohio University, Stark State Community College, The University of Akron, and Wilberforce University, supporting not only the students’ academic coursework, but also, participation in peace and conflict studies related conferences and training.
We hope you will consider donating to the Ohio Peace and Conflict Studies Network Fund. 100% of your donations go directly to Ohio student scholarships.
